With an impressive height of 182 metres, the Statue of Unity, the current highest structure in the world, proudly faces the Narmada Dam.

Known as the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is honoured by the nation's much-discussed Statue of Unity. The Statue of Unity stands 182 meters tall on Sadhu Bet Island on the Narmada River, near the Sardar Sarovar Dam.

With its height of about four times that of Christ the Redeemer in Brazil and double that of the Statue of Liberty in New York, the Statue of Unity is the tallest in the world. As part of the 143rd anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the Statue of Unity.
