In Navi Mumbai, Reliance Jio Mart intends to launch a trial of its quick grocery service Jio Mart Express. The service's goal is to sell 2000 stock-keeping units (SKUs) and deliver them in a short period of time.

Jio Mart’s plan to spread in 200 towns

By the end of the next quarter, Jio Mart intends to extend its rapid service to 200 towns and cities where it is now available, according to reporting from the Economic Times. In addition, it plans to expand its coverage over the next several months in an effort to rank among the biggest quick grocers in the nation.

According to a senior executive who spoke with ET, the Jio Mart Express will expand by utilising the thousands of Kirana retailers that have signed up for the B2B Jio Mart partner programme and using both the Dunzo and its delivery fleet in urban areas. In the metro areas, Dunzo is already widely present.

Since Zomato was forced to reduce the valuation of Blinkit in a few months, the ecosystem for instant grocery delivery has had to deal with a setback and a difficult tailwind. After the quick grocery delivery service was valued at more than $1 billion the year before, Zomato was forced to choose a merger, the value of which, as of March 2022, was closer to $700–$800 million.
