The top ten locations to see spring flowers at their best.
Okinawa, Tokyo or Kyoto, Japan
The Japanese Cherry Blossom is the most beautiful and famous flowers of spring. Before flowering in Tokyo and Kyoto in March and April, and then eventually in Hokkaido in May, the delicate pink flower first blooms in Okinawa. Wonderful Cherry Blossoms may also be seen in the US city of Washington, D.C. The city of Tokyo donated these trees to Washington in 1912.
Blickling Estate – Norfolk, UK
The Great Wood of the Blickling Estate is covered with delicate blue blooms from late April to early May. Other locations with bluebell swaths include Buckland, Devon, and Dunham Massey, Cheshire among other places.
Keukenhof – Lisse, The Netherlands
The Dutch Tulips are also well-known similar to the Cherry Blossoms of Japan. While they do spread across the countryside, Keukenhof is one of the biggest flower gardens in the world, with more than seven million flowers planted there year. This year, the gardens are open through May 13.
Monet’s Garden – Giverny, France
The exquisite flower beds painted with strokes of purple, white, gold, and red and meticulously tended to by Monet himself in the late 1800s are in and of themselves works of art. Although visitors are not permitted inside Monet's home, you may still visit the water lily pond that he painted.
Cape Floral Kingdom – South Africa
UNESCO designated this enormous area, which is close to South Africa's
southern point, as a hotspot for biodiversity. The world's highest known
concentration of plant species can be found there. There are spectacular
flower-rich regions just north of Cape Town and in Namaqua National Park.
